ECCO 15 - ESMO 34 will take place at the ICC Berlin - Internationales Congress Centrum, Messedamm 22, D-14055 Berlin, Germany (http://www.icc-berlin.de) from Sunday 20 September to Thursday 24 September 2009. ECCO 15 - ESMO 34 will build on the success of the previous ECCO (European Cancer Conference) and ESMO (European Society for Medical Oncology) conferences. It provides a unique European forum for presentations of cutting-edge research from experimental and clinical oncologists, epidemiologists and cancer nurses. Over 15,000 scientists, doctors, nurses, patients, carers and industry representatives are expected to attend. More than 100 experts in different cancer fields have developed a wide-ranging and exciting congress programme, with large numbers of reports of translational research and first reports from high quality phase III clinical trials. In addition, for the first time there will be an "oncopolicy" track; this has been introduced to help inform European policy on cancer and to ensure its place at the top of the EU health and research policy agenda.
